Warren Rocky Ramsey; 85; of Charleroi; died Saturday; Dec. 11; 2004; in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Vanderbilt on Nov. 4; 1919; he was a son of the late John and Julia Ramsey. He grew up on Fayette Street Rostraver Township. Mr. Ramsey was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen plant. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the VFW Arden Calvert Post; both in Charleroi; and the Charleroi Belgium Club. Survivors include a brother; Glenn Ramsey of North Charleroi; two sisters; Donna Matson and Jane Gates; both of Belle Vernon; and a special friend; Betty Barton. He was preceded in death by his wife; Matilda Veres Ramsey; a son; James W. Ramsey; a brother; William Ramsey; and a sister; Vera Jones. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC.; 235 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Tuesday; Dec. 14; at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Price officiating; followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
