Obituary

Mr.and Mrs.John Holder,Market street,Belle Vernon,received word Wednesday Nov.8,1944,from the War Department that their son,Pvt.Warren M.Holder,was killed in action in France,October 6,1944. He had previously been reported missing in a telegram received by his parents on Oct.28. Private Holder was the possessor of a Presidential citation for bravery. He was graduated from the Belle Vernon High School and has been overseas since August,1973. Surviving besides his parents are two sisters,Mrs.Margaret Christopher,and Dolores,at home,and two brothers,Sgt.Richard in France,and Jack at home. His body will arrive in Charleroi Wednesday,Sept.8,1948,at 6:45 p.m.and will be taken immediately to the Toner Funeral Home. Services will be held there Friday,September 10,1948,at 2:30 p.m.,in charge of Rev.Herman F.Roney. American Legion Post 659 will have charge of military rites. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
