Injured in a fall at Monessen on December 4,Warren Lofton, 33, of Allenport, died in Washington county home , Saturday, January 20,1940 at 7:15 a.m. of a fractured skull. Mr. Lofton was transferred recently from Charleroi-Monessen Hospital where he was taken after the accident. Mr. Lofton is said to have fallen as he decended a flight of steps from a friend's home in Monessen. Born in Fitzgerald, Ga., he came to this district in 1924 and worked as a chipper in the Pittsburgh Steel Co. plant. He is survived by his parents,wife and two children and a sister. Friends are being received at the late home in Allenport. Services in Metropolitan Baptist Church of Charleroi at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 23,with Rev. Phillip Green in charge. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Lawrence B. Frye,mortician.
