A former Mon Valley resident;he was born Oct.11;1908;in Marysville;Pa. He had resided in Jacksonville;Fla.;for the past 29 years. He was a retired materials engineer at the Jacksonville Naval Air Station. Mr.Morris was a member of Avondale Methodist Church of Jacksonville;Fla.;and Christ Methodist Church of Jacksonville Beach;Fla. He was also a member of F & Am Lodge;Scottish Rite and Morocco Temple;all of Jacksonville;Fla. Survivors include his widow;Anna Hoyes Morris;formerly of Belle Vernon;one son;William W.at home;two sisters;Viola and Leona;both of Harrisburg. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.on Sunday at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon where services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Seth Bower;pastor of First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating.
