Obituary

Walter Morycz of 322 Perry Ave., Fairhope, Belle Vernon, died Friday,Dec.16,1977 in Washington Hospital Emergency Care Facility following a lengthy illness. He was 82. Mr Morycz was born Oct. 10,1895 in Poland. A retired coal miner, he was a member of St Sebastian Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, P N A Lodge 976 of Arnold City, and the United Mine Workers of America. Survivors include his widow, Sophia Morycz, two sons Henry and Benny, both of Pittsburgh, one daughter, Mrs Peter (Jennie) Petrosky of Fairhope,Belle Vernon, one brother and one sister in Europe, 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home, Fayette City,after 2 p.m.Saturday. A Prayer service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Rev.Edward Gearing will be the celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 8 p.m. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
