Born in Charleroi on Sept.27;1906;he was a son of the late Carl and Gertrude Plapert Behrendt. Mr.Behrendt was a member of the French Club;Sportsmen’s Association and Turner’s Club (H.T.A.C.);all of Charleroi. He retired in July 1960;from the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his widow;Minnie Pauwels Behrendt;a son;Jack B.of San Pedro;Calif.;one daughter;Mrs.William M.(Jean) Norkus of Charleroi;three brothers;Robert;Ernest and William of Charleroi;two sisters;Mrs.Louise Breining of Monessen and Mrs.J.P.(Freda) Pardiny of Verona;N.J.
