Walter (Lefty) Duda, 84, of Naomi Road, Fayette City R.D., died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at his home. He was born in Arnold City, Washington Township, on Nov. 8, 1914, the son of the late Frank and Frances Oleszkowicz
Duda. Mr. Duda was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. at the Allenport Plant. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church of Fayette City. Survivors include a sister, Christine Dempsey of Naomi,
Fayette City R.D., and a brother, Edward Duda of New Jersey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Duda, on March 9, 1999. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until 9:30 a.m. at the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City. A Prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in the Holy Spirit R.C.Church,Fayette City,with the Rev.Leonard J.McAlpin as celebrant. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc.,334 Main St.,Fayette City,is in charge of arrangements.
