Obituary

Walter Kobosky,Jr.,75,died Monday, Dec. 12,1988 at 8 a.m. in his home at 105 Grace St.,Belle Vernon (Fairhope). He was born in Fitz Henry on May 8,1913,a son of the late Walter Sr. and Mary Sheyzak Kobosky. Mr. Kobosky was a member and former elder of the Marion Presbyterian Church and F&AM Gummert Lodge No. 252 of Fayette City, Uniontown Lodge of Perfection and Consistory Valley and Syria Temple lodges,both of Pittsburgh.  He has lived in Fairhope most of his life. Mr. Kobosky was a miner at the Naomi and Mathies mines and a former employee of Belle Vernon American Window Glass.  He also was retired from Western State Hospital at Canonsburg. Mr. Kobosky is survive by his wife, Catherine Anderson Kobosky,two sons, Carl R. of Belle Vernon and Arvid D. of Fayette City r.D.1,two brothers, Stanley of Fairhope and Carl of Oklahoma City,five sisters,Helen Vollmar and Alma McLaughlin,both of Fairhope,Catherine Olesko of Burgenfield,N.J.,Anna Moyer of New Jersey and Sarah Louise Farkas of Monessen;six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. John C. Park of Marion Presbyterian Church officiating.  Interment will be at Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Masonic services will be held at the funeral home by Fayette City Gummert Lodge No. 252 on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
