Obituary

Walter H. Keck,70,of 11110 East Middle Road, North East,Pa.,formerly of Charleroi,died Tuesday, Nov. 25,1997,in his home.  He was born Oct. 2,1927,a son of the late Rev. Howard B. and Ethel Freeling Keck.He was a resident of North East for the past four years,previously residing for 30 years in Indianapolis, Ind.,and Charleroi.  He was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in North East,and an usher at the church.  He was also a member of St. Alphonsus Liguori Council 4262 of the Knights of Columbus,the Men's Curcillo Lodge 159,the North East Senior Citizens Center,and the AARP. He was formerly employed at Jubilee Foods in North East,and was also an usher at Erie Stadium for the Erie Seawolfs professional baseball team. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law,Kevin M.and Brenda Keck of Pittsburgh,and Kenneth M. and Deborah Keck of Frankfort,Ill.;two daughters and one son-in-law,Karla M. Janos of West Newton,and Kimberly M. and Donald Smith of North East and nine grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Ruth Gray Keck in 1993. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home,819 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
