Obituary

Walter F.Chadwick,42,of 509 McCrea Ave.,Donora,died suddenly Tuesday,March 7,1961,at 2:45 p.m. while at work in the locomotive repair shop of the Donora plant of U.S.Steel's American Steel and Wire Division. He was a life-long resident of Donora,born in Donora Sept.10,1918,the son of Walter F.and Cealie Sickles Chadwick. The deceased was a member of Donora First Methodist Church and was a veteran of service in World War II having served with the 7th Armored Division. He was a locomotive repairman in the mill. Surviving are his widow,Pearl Evans Chadwick,one son,Ronald,and one daughter,Kathleen,both at home,his mother,Mrs.Cealie Chadwick,Donora,one brother,William E.Chadwick,Donora,and two sisters,Mrs.James L.(Peg) Roberts,Finleyville,R.D.1,Mrs.J.L.(Betty) Beck of Winnfield,La. Friends will be received at the James A.Rabe Funeral Home,Donora,after 7 p.m.today. Funeral services will be held on Friday,March 10,1970,at 2 p.m.with the Rev.Ronald Moseley of Donora First Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
