Walter F.Chadwick;42;of 509 McCrea Ave.;Donora;died suddenly Tuesday;March 7;1961;at 2:45 p.m. while at work in the locomotive repair shop of the Donora plant of U.S.Steel’s American Steel and Wire Division. He was a life-long resident of Donora;born in Donora Sept.10;1918;the son of Walter F.and Cealie Sickles Chadwick. The deceased was a member of Donora First Methodist Church and was a veteran of service in World War II having served with the 7th Armored Division. He was a locomotive repairman in the mill. Surviving are his widow;Pearl Evans Chadwick;one son;Ronald;and one daughter;Kathleen;both at home;his mother;Mrs.Cealie Chadwick;Donora;one brother;William E.Chadwick;Donora;and two sisters;Mrs.James L.(Peg) Roberts;Finleyville;R.D.1;Mrs.J.L.(Betty) Beck of Winnfield;La. Friends will be received at the James A.Rabe Funeral Home;Donora;after 7 p.m.today. Funeral services will be held on Friday;March 10;1970;at 2 p.m.with the Rev.Ronald Moseley of Donora First Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
