Walter A. 'Woody' Bianchi, 86, formerly of Newell, died Friday, November 13, 2015 at Bayside Hospital, St. Petersburg, Florida . Born March 4, 1929 in Newell, he was the son of the late Alfonse and Assunta Tomasso Bianchi. Mr. Bianchi was a member of the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Catholic Church, Newell and was a retired truck driver from General Chemical, Newell. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army, member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659, the Am Vets of Uniontown, Korean War Veterans of St. Petersburg Florida, the Sons of Italy in Perryopolis and the St. Petersburg Tarantella Dance Group. He was also the founder of the Newell Federal Credit Union and was an avid accordion player specializing in Italian music. He is survived by five daughters and four sons in law Janice & Al Altomari of Monessen, Regina Cunningham & Companion Joe of Newell, Maria & Jim Premoshis of Fayette City, Bernadette & Barry Deutsch of Greensburg, Rosalie & Chad DuBreucq of Monessen; eight grandchildren Jason Cunningham, Dustin Premoshis, Casey Premoshis, Bianca Bodde, Breanna Deutsch, Bodie DuBreucq, Braedon DuBreucq, Brent DuBreucq; great granddaughter Alivia Premoshis and two sisters Eleanor Bianchi of Fayette City and Dolores Unnone of North Huntington. He is preceded in death by two sisters Amelia LoBue and Genevieve Stringhill. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724- 929-6183. Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston of Epiphany Of Our Lord Church officiating. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will conduct services Wednesday evening at 7 PM in the funeral home.
