Obituary

Walter A. Kossol,68,of 922 Fayette Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Jan.17,1990,in Jefferson Medical Center,Jefferson Borough. Born March 18,1921,in Charleroi,he was the son of the late Stanley and Frances Lucas Kossol. A Belle Vernon resident for many years, Mr. Kossol was self-employed as a truck driver prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,and of AARP. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Gloria Sambuchini Kossol,in March 1987,and one sister,Anne Kossol.  Survviving are one son and daughter-in-law,Kenneth and Michelene Kossol of Vanderbilt R.D.1;three daughters,Dr. Janet Kossol of Mount Washington,Lorraine Kossol of Las Vegas,Nev.,and Joyce Kossol of Belle Vernon;one grandson,Ryan Kossol;seven sisters,Mary Zampatti of Donora,Mrs. Jack (Isabelle) Coppi of Monongahela,Mrs. Wendell (Ruth) Rowland of Lansdale,Sr. Mary Teresa (Beatrice) Kossol of Carrick,Mrs. Magnus (Josie) Olsen of Florida,Audrey Kossol of New York City and JoAnn Belchick of New Jersey;and five brothers,William Kossol of the state of California,John Kossol of Charleroi,Charles Kossol of Reno,Nev.,and Jerry and Robert Kossol,both of Monessen. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,where a Blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.
