Viva Elizabeth Eisley Watson of 1331 Nash Ave.,Monessen,died Monday,Aug. 29,1988,at 11:25 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 74. Mrs. Watson was born Oct.1,1913,in Monessen,a daughter of the late Charles A. and Emma Zimmer Eisley. The youngest of 15 children,Mrs. Watson ws preceded in death by eight brothers and five sisters in adddition to her husband, John Thomas Watson,who died in October,1983. She was a lifelong resident of Monessen,where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a 1931 graduate of Monessen High School. Survivors include one daughter,Mrs. Thomas (Claudia) Johnston of Columbus,Ohio;one granddaughter,Karen Johnston of Columbus,Ohio;one sister,Mrs. Charles (Ora) Bradley of Charleroi R.D.1;and several nieces and nephews,including Ralph and Marilynne Watson of North Charleroi and Dorothy and George Rajala of Monessen. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,where services will be held Thursday,Sept.1,at 1 p.m. with the Rev. S. Kenneth Johnson,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
