Virginia T. Mancuso Alessio; 79; of Belle Vernon; died peacefully in her sleep on Friday; January 16; 2009 in Country Care Manor; Fayette City. A daughter of the late Santo and Lena Mancuso; she was born in Monessen on February 24; 1929. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon; the Golden Agers and had helped the Meals on Wheels Program for several years. A resident of Belle Vernon for most of her adult life; Ginny was a loving wife; mother; grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include two daughters; Santa Maria ‘Sandy’ Alessio Stewart of Smock and Monica l. Alessio LaCarte of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Thomas R. Stewart IV of Smock; Melissa Renee Drennon and husband Jerry of Dunbar; Jeb Daniel Stewart of Smock and Shanna Leigh LaCarte of Belle Vernon and eight great-grandchildren; Brittany Stewart; Krista Drennon; T. J. Stewart; Taelor Drennon; Brenden Stewart; J.J. Stewart; Brooklyn Drennon and Jordyn Drennon. Ginny was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband Mario Alessio on August 27; 2003; four brothers; Joseph; Vincent; Anthony and Sylvester Mancuso and one sister; Anna Corti. Friends will be received 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
