Born Dec.17;1926;in Charleroi;she was a daughter of the late George and Lulu Perkins Gillen. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;she was a member of Metro Baptist Temple;Belle Vernon. She had been employed as an operator for Bell Telephone Company. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law;Vicki and Clement Ludwick of Belle Vernon;four grandchildren;John W.Popelas II of Jacksonville;Fla.;Rob Popelas;Jillian Clegg and Jennifer Popelas;all of Belle Vernon;and two great-grandchildren;Jasmine Popelas and Jenne Popelas. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by three sisters;Elizabeth Young;Ella Speers and Edna Dubansky;and one brother;George Gillen. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.;a Golden Rule Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home wth the Rev.Stephen Dobosh officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
