Virginia E.Houseman of 132 Greenhill Drive;Butler died Saturday;Dec.28;1985;at 5:30 p.m.in the Butler Memorial Hospital. She was 73. Mrs.Houseman was born Sept.2;1912;in Jefferson Township;Fayette County;a daughter of the late Rudolph and Blanche Beller Fetkenhour. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Mrs.Houseman had lived in the Belle Vernon area most of her life;moving to Butler 18 month ago. She was a former employee of Valdiserri’s Bakery in North Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband;Irwin C.Houseman;in 1967;and by two sisters;Goldie Fazio;1983;and Gladys Deems;1977. Survivors include a son;Rudy I.Houseman of Atlanta;Ga.;a daughter;Mrs.Anthony (Cathy) Nicastro of Butler;with whom she made her home;and four grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.n. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Tuesday;Dec.31;at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Charles K.Sowden;pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Fredericktown;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
