Obituary

Virginia E.Houseman of 132 Greenhill Drive,Butler died Saturday,Dec.28,1985,at 5:30 p.m.in the Butler Memorial Hospital. She was 73. Mrs.Houseman was born Sept.2,1912,in Jefferson Township,Fayette County,a daughter of the late Rudolph and Blanche Beller Fetkenhour. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Mrs.Houseman had lived in the Belle Vernon area most of her life,moving to Butler 18 month ago. She was a former employee of Valdiserri's Bakery in North Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,Irwin C.Houseman,in 1967,and by two sisters,Goldie Fazio,1983,and Gladys Deems,1977. Survivors include a son,Rudy I.Houseman of Atlanta,Ga.,a daughter,Mrs.Anthony (Cathy) Nicastro of Butler,with whom she made her home,and four grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.n. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Tuesday,Dec.31,at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Charles K.Sowden,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Fredericktown,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
