Obituary

Virginia C. Levandosky Barnot, 87, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at 6:55 p.m. in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born July 20, 1916 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Lewandowski. Mrs. Barnot was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area, a homemaker, and she was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Judy Barnot of Rostraver Township and Donald and Linda Barnot of Fallowfield Township, one brother, Edward Landosky of Washington Township, three grandchildren, Robert C. Barnot and wife Michelle Barnot, Terrence Barnot and wife Beverly, and Brett Barnot, four great-grandchildren, Zachary Barnot, Tyler Barnot, Benjamin Barnot and Brooke Barnot. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew T. Barnot on Jan. 9, 1994, three brothers, Caesar, Stanley and Zigmund Levandosky, and three sisters, Jennie Badock, Faye Bilski and Wanda Jaskowick. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. A prayer service will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Ron Cyktor Jr., parochial vicar, as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Virginia C. Barnot Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
