Violet Pearce,74,of R.D.1,Coal Center,died Thursday, Oct. 18,1979,at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born in Pricedale on June 22,1905,she was the daughter of William and Anna Carroll Cowan. She was a member of the St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church,Charleroi;Third Order of St. Francis and Cursillo. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry E. Cope and Bert Pearce. Survivors include one son, Harry W. (Bud) Cope Sr. of Coal Center;two sisters,Mrs. Margaret Campbell of Napels,Fla. and Mrs. Gene Roberts of Charleroi;four grandchildren,Harry W. Cope Jr. of Monessen,Richard M. Cope of Charleroi,Cathleen M. Heino of Long Branch and Timothy Cope of Long Branch and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Home,Inc.,Third and Fallowfield Ave.,,Charleroi. Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church,with Msgr.William Maher,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
