Vincenzo J. Winks Ambrose Jr.; 65; of Bluff Street; North Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; May 8; 2002; in his home. A son of the late Vincenzo J. and Angeline Vaccaro Ambrose; he was born Dec. 16; 1936; in Belle Vernon. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; the Knights of Columbus Council 3026; a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department; and the Westmoreland County Firemen’s Association. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon; he retired in 1987 from the former Lee Norse Company in Charleroi. Survivors include his wife; Donna Rodgers Ambrose; with whom he would have celebrated 46 years of marriage on June 9; 2002; one daughter and son-in-law; Traci and Steve Pawlak; two sons and a daughter-in-law; Timothy J. Ambrose; and Craig V. and Pam Ambrose; all of Belle Vernon; one brother and sister-in-law; Charles Butch and Nancy Ambrose of Fayette City; one sister and brother-in-law; Michele Cookie and Charles Foster of Rochester; N.Y.; six grandchildren; Courtney; Jeff and Cody Ambrose; Jared; Chelsea and LeeAnn Pawlak; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one son; Jeffrey Michael Ambrose; in 1974; and one sister; Teresa Ambrose; in 1973. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.; a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Saturday; May 11; at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R.C. Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department will meet in the funeral home Thursday at 7:30 p.m. to hold services; the rosary will be prayed on Friday at 3 p.m.; led by members of St. Sebastian Parish; and the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus will hold services in the funeral home Friday at 7 p.m.
