Vincent W.Stone;78;of 215 Otto St.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;Jan.1;1993;at 3:50 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Feb.17;1914;in Belle Vernon;a son of the late Olive Stone. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesue Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Belle Vernon American Legion. He was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. He retired from the Blooming Mill;Monessen plant;Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company;in 1976. He was a veteran of World War II;serving in the U.S.Army. His wife;Alice Osborne Stone;died in 1978. Survivors include one son;Larry R.Harger of Akron;Ohio;two daughters;Mrs.Donald (Jane) Niemela of Perryopolis;R.D.;and Mrs.August (Ruth Ann) DeSchepper with whom he made his home;one sister;Mary Jupin of Belle Vernon;and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren;nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home with the Rev.Dr.Thomas St.Clair;pastor of First United Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
