Obituary

Vincent Keill, 84, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at 2:25 p.m., at his home. Born July 16, 1925, in Trotter, he was a son of the late John and Katherine Heltmark Keill. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 51 years, Mr. Keill was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, and was a retired owner/operator of the former Hilltop Bakery. After closing Hilltop Bakery, Vincent worked for Fayette County Assessment office for 18 years and later worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 20 years for the State Tax Equalization Board. Mr. Keill was also a life member of the Fairhope Rod & Gun Club, member of the Naomi Club and social member of the Belle Vernon and Smithton American Legions. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and John Lindey, of Florida, Carolyn and Brian Seman, of Colorado, and Tracey and Dave Hackenson, of Belle Vernon, two sisters, Florence Laskey, of LaGrange, Ohio, and Dorothy Hart, of Nice, Calif., and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Keill and John Keill Jr., and a sister, Eleanor Andras. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by funeral services at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas, pastor of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, officiating, in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Vincent Keill at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
