Vilma Mackey;90;of Belle Vernon (Fairhope);died Thursday;Dec.17;1998;at her home. She was born on Nov.8;1908;in Washington Township;a daughter of the late Oscar and Olga Kalmi Sands. Mrs.Mackey was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;John F.Mackey in 1980;a sister;Irene Daniels in 1994;and three brothers;David;Leon;and Oscar Sands. Survivors include two sisters;Jane Sands of Belle Vernon (Fairhope) and Helen Parker of Portsmouth;Va. Friends will be received Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home Inc.;334 Main St.;Fayette City. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m.with Pastor Donald Chudd officiating.
