Obituary

Victor A.Cannoni of Dunlevy died Sunday,Aug.4,1985,at 6:30 a.m. in the Waddington Convalescent Home,Fayette City R.D.1. He was 60. Mr.Cannoni was born June 30,1925,in Charleroi,a son of the late Antonio and Marguerite Gatti Cannoni. A resident of the Charleroi area his entire life,he was a member of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church,Charleroi. Mr.Cannoni was employed as a cement mason and was a member of Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Union Local 526 of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters,Amelia Arnold,Antoinette Sherman and Angeline,and by three brothers,Macco,John and Pete Cannoni. Survivors include one brother,Joseph Cannoni of Monongahela,two sisters,Madeline Barger of Merritt island,Fla.,and Mrs.Sam (Marie) Zabawsky of Belle Vernon,several nieces and nephews,and very good friends,Mr.and Mrs.Charles Swaney,Mr.and Mrs.Jack Ramusivich and Don Lundy. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home,819 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday,Aug.6,at 10 a.m. in Mother of Sorrows R.C.Church,Charleroi,with the Rev.Pierre Sodini,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
