Vernon E.Luce;54;of 415 Bluff St.;Belle Vernon;died Saturday at noon in the Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Monessen on March 25;1918;and resided in Belle Vernon the past 26 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Luce was employed at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Surviving are his widow;Elmira Kyle Luce;two sons;Norman L.Luce and Barry G.Luce;both of Rockford;Ill;one daughter;Mrs.Louis (Bonnie)G.Hegedus of Chambersburg;his father;Norman Luce;of Monessen;one brother;Milton Luce;and two sisters;Edith Luce and Claire Luce;all of Monessen;and two grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 10 this evening. Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.Seth Bower of First United Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
