Obituary

Vernon E.Luce,54,of 415 Bluff St.,Belle Vernon,died Saturday at noon in the Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Monessen on March 25,1918,and resided in Belle Vernon the past 26 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Luce was employed at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Surviving are his widow,Elmira Kyle Luce,two sons,Norman L.Luce and Barry G.Luce,both of Rockford,Ill,one daughter,Mrs.Louis (Bonnie)G.Hegedus of Chambersburg,his father,Norman Luce,of Monessen,one brother,Milton Luce,and two sisters,Edith Luce and Claire Luce,all of Monessen,and two grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 10 this evening. Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.Seth Bower of First United Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
