Obituary

Verl B. Faust, 84, of the Belle Vernon Apartments, Belle Vernon, formerly of Monessen, died Thursday, May 11, 1995, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Mr. Faust was born Dec. 14, 1910, in Belle Vernon, a son of the late Clarence and Lilyan Faust. He retired in 1974 from the former Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, where he was employed as a crane operator. Mr. Faust had been a resident of Belle Vernon since 1990, coming there from Monessen. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Monessen. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Helen, a daughter, Lillian Davis, and a brother, Paul Faust. Surviving are his wife, Hanna Hughes Smith Faust, a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Kay) Barruso of Avon Park, Fla., three step-daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Judith) Agamedi of North Charleroi, Mrs. Richard (Jeanne) McCoy of Uniontown and Mrs. George (Jo Ann) Decker of Quaker-town, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson uneral Home Inc., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor David Fink officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is handling arrangements.
