Velma Brighenti;81;of Belle Vernon R.D. 2;died at her residence;on Saturday;Sept.16;1989;at 12:15 a.m. She was born in Rankin on April 23;1908;a daughter of the late Alexander and Julia Takacs. Mrs.Brighenti lived in Rostraver Township since 1947;and was formerly of Monessen. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Mario Brighenti;in January;1986;a brother;Joseph W.Takacs;and a sister;Helen Roscoe. She is survived by her daughter;Mrs.Rudolph (Marsha) Greco;with whom she had made her home;a brother;Alexander Takacs of Clairton;and a grandson;Mario and his wife;Robin Greco of Belle Vernon R.D.2. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.Dr.Thomas St.Clair;pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
