Velia Borselli Stankovich of 521 Forest St.;Monessen;died Wednesday;May 6;1987;at 1:40 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. She was 66. Mrs.Stankovich was born Dec.1;1920;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late Cheno and Alma Cappellini Borselli. She was a member of St.Leonard Roman Catholic Church and the Eagles Auxiliary;both of Monessen. Formerly of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Stankovich had lived in Monessen the past 13 years. She retired in 1975 after working for 15 years as a bookkeeper at the former Matway Chevrolet. Survivors include her husband;Peter;two sons;Jerry P.Stankovich of McKeesport and Peter J.Stankovich of Monessen;one brother;Henry L.Borselli of Ellwood City;one sister;Dolores Anderson of Belle Vernon;and two grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon where friends will gather on Saturday;May 9;at 9 a.m.to go to St.Leonards R.C.Church;Monessen;for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.with the Rev.Patrick O’Connor as celebrant.
