Vance Frazier,21, a Navy man from Donora was killed in an automobile accident at the U.S. Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Md.,on Monday,Jan. 1,1962 at 12:30 a.m.,shortly after he had returned from a holiday leave at home. Mr Frazier,son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Frazier,652 Fifth St.,was dead on arrival at the base hospital at 12:30 a.m. A 1958 graduate of Donora High School,he had played in the school band. He was a member of Quinn Chapel AME Church. He was engaged to Betty Ann Goggins of Donora,a senior at California State College. Surviving are his parents;two sisters, Mrs. Joyce White of Chicago, Ill and Melanie Frazier,at home and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Maria Frazier of Belle Vernon. He was born in Monessen on Dec. 27,1940. Friends will be received at the Percy E. Law Jr. Funeral Home in Donora after 7 p.m. Thursday,Jan. 4. Funeral services will take place on Saturday,Jan.6 at 11 a.m. in Quinn Chapel AME Church.with the Rev. James E. White officiating. Interment, Belle Vernon Cemetery. Percy E. Law Jr.,funeral director.
