Obituary

Trueheart Isaac Wade, 88, a resident of Monessen for over 60 years, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Campbell County, Naruna, Va., a son of the late Clarence and Noisa Lee Wade. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Selma Y. Wade, a son, Lawrence B. Wade, and siblings, Leonard Wade, Leroy Wade and Mae Davis. Trueheart enlisted in the U.S. Army as a private in May of 1943. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel after 36 years of employment. He was also a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Monessen. He is survived by daughters, Selma A. Arnold and Wendy Wade, both of Monessen, four grandchildren, Doris Coleman, of Philadelphia, Denise Wade, Curtis Wade and James Arnold, all of Monessen, 10 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Thomas Wade, and a sister, Myrtle Burford, both of Virginia, a sister-in-law, Carrie Callahan, of Monessen, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen, on Thursday, May 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held on Friday, May 20, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Maurice Wade Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the BEVERLY C. DRAPER FUNERAL HOME INC., 608 Sixth St., Monessen (724) 684-6242.
