Mr. Scalise was born Dec
6; 1897 in San Giovanni in
Fiore; Italy; a son of the late
Frank and Rose Scalise.
A member of St Sebastian
R. C. Church; he had been a
resident of Belle Vernon since
1921.
Mr. Scalise was a former
employee of Wheeling –
Pittsburgh Steel Corporation;
Monessen Plant from
1947-65. He was owner and
operator of Scalise Food
Market in Belle Vernon
He was preceded in death by his wife; Constance; on
Oct 4; 1971.
Survivors include one son;
Frank of Belle Vernon; one
daughter; Mrs. Mike (Mary)
Argirakis of Belle Vernon;
and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received in
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; 700 Broad
Ave; Belle Vernon; on Monday from 7 to 9 p. m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. A Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
