Services were held Thursday afternoon;Jan.17;1980;for Thomas W.Duggins;83;of 423 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;who died Tuesday;Jan.15;in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born July 20;1896;in Jewett;Ohio;son of the late James and Esther Urwin Duggins. He had lived all his life in Belle Vernon and was a U.S.Army veteran of World War I. Until his retirement in 1962;he was a chemical analyst at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of American Legion Post 659 of Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow;Edna King Duggins;one sister;Mrs.Theodore (Ruth) Duggins Hoffman of Sewickley. Services were held at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Howard A.Greenfield II;officiating. Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
