Thomas W. Brookes; Sr.; 86; of Dillonvale; Ohio; passed away on Sunday; Nov. 1; 2009. A son of the late John and Annie Treadwell Brookes; he was born in England; on April 15; 1923. A Christian by faith; he had resided in Ohio for the past 16 years and was formerly of Fairhope (Belle Vernon). He retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company and was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law; Thomas W.; Jr. and Patricia Brookes; with whom he made his home in Dillonvale; the Rev. Jack and Lori Feick of Mt. Pleasant; and Roy and Kathy Feick of Monongahela; one brother; Morris Brookes of Warren; Ohio; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Coletta Roberts Brookes in 1993; one son; Lawrence Feick and one grandson; Roy Feick; Jr. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY; INC.; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; (724-929-5300); www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com.
