Obituary

Thomas Raymond (Ray),of 320 Delmont Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,June 4,1972,at 10:45 p.m.in Presbyterian University Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was a retired foreman in the shipping department of the Allenport mill of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow,Mrs.Helen Skirpan Owens,three sons,Raymond A.of Belle Vernon,Earl T.of Avalon,Pittsburgh,A.James (Spanky) Skirpan of Belle Vernon,two daughters,Mrs.Wayne (Juanita) Taylor of San Fernando,Calif.,Mrs.Harry (Jerry) Shallenberger of Pittsburgh,two brothers,William of Gillespie,Fayette City,James of Newell,five sisters,Mrs.Violet Fitspatrick of Fisher Heights,Mrs.Margaret Walters of Charleroi,Mrs.Silyas Snyder of Youngstown,Ohio,Mrs.William Wickerham of Monongahela,Mrs.Alice Mitchner of Monongahela,12 grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.Tuesday,and 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.Wednesday at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Seth Bower of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
