Obituary

Thomas Moody,67,of Belle Vernon R.D.2,died suddenly Tuesday,Sept.7,1965,at 8:30 a.m. in Shadyside Hospital,Pittsburgh. Mr.Moody retired in April,1963,from the field fence department of the Donora Works of U.S.Steel Corporation. He lived in the Mon Valley area since 1923. Born Jan.3,1898,in Ireland,he was the son of the late John and Mary Hogg Moody. He was a member of Donora Lodge No.626 Free and Accepted Masons. Surviving are his widow,Margaret Ann,three sons,Thomas of Belle Vernon R.D.3,William of Newark,Del.,and James at home,a daughter,Mrs.Edward (Anna Margaret) Butler of Long Island,N.Y.,a brother,Andrew of Toronto,Canada,one sister,Mrs.Nellie Getty of Winnipeg,Canada,seven grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Lawson-Rabe Funeral Home,Donora,where a service will take place Friday,Sept.10,at 2:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev.Howard Rodebaugh,pastor of Pricedale Union Church. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Lawson-Rabe Funeral Home in charge.
