Thomas L. Vargo; 69; of Fayette City; died Monday; Sept. 9; 2002; in his home. He was born April 22; 1933; in Fayette City; a son of the late Andrew Sr. and Anna Repawn Vargo. He was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church; the Brightwell-Daughtery American Legion Post 484; and the American Slovinic Club; all of Fayette City. In addition to his parents; Mr. Vargo was preceded in death by two brothers; Andrew W. and Herbert Vargo; and one sister; Mary Tootsie Karelli. He is survived by his wife; Barbara Adams Vargo; his children; Thomas Vargo of Perryopolis; and Lori Vargo Luce and husband Jeff of Perryopolis; four brothers; Edward Vargo of West Virginia; Joseph Vargo of Fayette City; George Vargo of Rostraver Township; and Leonard Vargo of Connellsville; three sisters; Agnes Strychalski of Belle Vernon; Dolores Yelich of Irwin; and Dorothy Wetzel of Belle Vernon; and five grandchildren. Friends will be received at the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 9:30 a.m.; when a blessing service will take place followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit R.C. Church; Fayette City; with the Rev. Fr. Leonard McAlpin as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
