Thomas J. Schendeman,66,of 128 Jean St. Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Jan.21,1993 at 7:35 p.m. at his home. He was born in McKesport Feb. 9,1926, a son of the late Gregory John and Margaret King Schwendeman. Mr. Schwendeman was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. He held memberships in the Charleroi Elks and the Charleroi V.F.W. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 27 years, he formerly resided in Charleroi. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the Army Infantry. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas John and Carol Schwendeman of Greensburg; a brother,G. Richard Schwendeman of Elizabeth and a sister, Anna Mary Schwendeman of Charleroi. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Annette LaPointe Schwendeman on July 13,1991. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeal Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
