Obituary

Thomas James Osborne,51,of 124 Lowers Alley,Fayette City,died suddenly in Veterans Administration Hospital,Oakland,Pittsburgh,Tuesday,Jan.4,1966 at 4 a.m. Mr.osborne,a retired employee of the Monessen Southwestern Railroad of Pittsburgh Steel Co.,was a member of the Christian Church,Fraternal Order of Eagles,Aerie 1450 and Brightwell Daughtery Post 484 of the American Legion,all of Fayette City. He was a veteran of World War II. Born in Fayette City on Jan.21,1914,he was the son of James Osborne and the late Mary Jane Hency Osborne. Surviving besides his father are one brother,Charles Raymond Osborne of Fayette City R.D.,four sisters,Mrs.Willis (Olive) Johnson of Fayette City R.D.,Mrs.Vincent (Alice) Stone and Mrs. Walter (Mary Ann) Hale,both of Belle Vernon and Vera at home. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where a service will be held Friday,Jan.7,at 1:30 p.m.in charge of the Rev.David J.Snyder,pastor of Fayette City Christian Church. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Jan.7 by the Brightwell Daughtery Post 484,American Legion,Fayette City.
