Thomas Gerald Stanley;78;of 321 Main St.;Belle Vernon;a former member of Belle Vernon Area School Board and Belle Vernon Council;died at 11:42 a.m. on Tuesday;March 11;1980 at Mon Valley Hospital. A Protestant by faith;Mr.Stanley was also a former member of the Board of Trustees at California State Teachers College;the Belle Vernon Library Board and the Belle Vernon Water Authority. At the time of his death he was on the Board of Charleroi Goldern Agers. Mr.Stanley was a retired conducter for P&LE Railroad. He retired in 1968. Born Dec.11;1901 in Lamont Furnace;Pa.;he was the son of John H.and Daisy Matthews Stanley. Surviving are his wife;Ida Stagi Stanley;and a son;J.T.Stanley of Los Gatos;Calif.
