Thomas G. Stitt,81,former chief inspecting engineer at the Allenport Plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co.,died early Saturday morning,May 24,1958 at the home of a daughter,Mrs. Lucille S. Carignan,of Montclair,N.J. Surviving are his wife,Mrs. Hallie West Stitt;daughters,Mrs. Carignan and Mrs. Virginis Nash of Battle Creek,Mich.and two grandchildren. The remains will arrive at the Harold R. Toner Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Sunday evening and friends will be received beginning Monday at 1 p.m. Funeral home visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.Services will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday,May 28,at 2 p.m. The Rev. William Schatz,pastor of the First Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
