Obituary

Thomas Eugene Cline (Chludzinski), 64, of Rostraver Township, formerly of Monessen, died at home Tuesday, July 29, 2003, after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Bronx, N.Y., April 4, 1939, the son of Genevieve (Kosarsky) Chludzinski, who survives and lives in Jefferson Hills, and the late Theodore Chludzinski. Tom was a 1958 graduate of Monessen High School. He was the owner/operator of Tom's Service Center and Gas Station in West Newton and a former owner/operator of Tom's Service Center and Tom's Truck and Auto Body in Rostraver Township. He was a school bus driver for the Belle Vernon Area School District before retiring in 2002. He was a heavy equipment operator for 18 years, beginning with Victoria Construction in Monessen. He was a member of Local 66 Operating Engineers, AFL/CIO and also the Teamsters. He participated in the Boy Scout program in Monessen and was pack master of Pack 1590. For many years Tom also belonged to Monessen Hilltop Fire Department and Rostraver Lions Club. He was a member of Fells United Methodist Church in Fellsburg and also served as an aide to the board of trustees. In addition to his mother, left to mourn him are his loving wife of 18 years, Joyce (Sampey) Cline, two daughters, Brenda Cline Buchko and husband, Paul, of Monessen, and Beverly Cline Bakosh and husband, Joseph, of Fountain Hills, Ariz., a son, Thomas Eugene Cline Jr. and wife, Deana, of Speers, and four grandchildren, Brandon Crawford, Jamie Lyn and Joey Bakosh, of Arizona, and Tara Buchko, of Monessen. He leaves three stepchildren, Annette Boyer and husband, Michael, Brian Georgulis, and Christopher Georgulis and wife, Amy, all of the local area, and five stepgrandchildren, Paul and Anastasia Georgulis, Michael and Patrick Boyer, and Noah Georgulis, all of the local area. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Annetta Sampey, of Pleasant Hills, ex-wife, Mona Lee Nichols Cline, and aunt, Lillian Liscik, both of Monessen, good friends, including Ed Kerestes and Bill Callaway, of Rostraver Township, and his devoted dog, Dustin. He was lovingly cared for at home by his wife and family with the much-appreciated help of Three Rivers Hospice. Tom's wishes were to be cremated and that there be no public visitation or formal funeral. A religious service and cremains interment will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to Fells United Methodist Church, 1268 Fells Church Road, Belle Vernon, PA 15012. The JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township, is in charge of the arrangements. Gone from my sight, not from my heart.
