Thomas C.Rankin of Belle Vernon R.D.1 died Saturday;Sept.26;1981;in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was 79. Mr.Rankin was born June 14;1902 in Rostraver Twp.;a son of the late John C.and Annie Culbert Rankin. He was a retired employee of the former U.S.Steel Donora Works;and also farmed in Rostraver Twp. Mr.Rankin ws a member of Rehoboth United Presbyterian Church;Rostraver Twp.;and was a 50-year member of F&AM Lodge 626;Donora. He was also a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon;and was a charter member of Rostraver Grange 919. Survivors include his widow;Margaret H.Rankin;one son;William H.Rankin of Belle Vernon R.D.1;five granddaughters;Mrs.Frank (Mary) Zebrak of Eldred;Pa.;Elaine Rankin of West Mifflin;and Patty;Joyce and Karen;all at home;three sisters;Mrs.Kathleen Moody of West Newton;Mrs.Stewart (Frances) Donaldson of Donora and Mrs.Sarah Vaugh of Belle Vernon R.D.2. Friends will be received in the James C.Stump Funeral Home;Inc.;Rostraver Twp.;on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.Allie A.Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Donora Masonic Lodge services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. James C.Stump Funeral Home;Inc.;is in charge of arrangements.
