Thomas A. Owens,73,of 219 Fifth St.,Belle Vernon,died in Presbyterian Hospital,Pittsburgh,Saturday Dec.27,1980,at 6:04 a.m. He was born in Pittsburgh,Nov.13,1907, son of the late Thomas A.and Anna Meehen Owens. He was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church of Belle Vernon,the Knights of Columbus,the Holy Name Society and Legion of Mary. He was also a member of Local 307 of Cumberland,Md.,from where he was employed as an electrician. He had been a resident of Belle Vernon since 1952. Survivors include his widow,Rose Biagini Owens,one sister,Mrs. Gertrude Walsh and one niece,Jean Blickenstaff,both of Baltimore,Md. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Knights of Columbus services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 p.m. A Prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian's R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
