Obituary

Thomas A.Bello,79,of 1120 Lloyd St.,Nanty Glo,died Saturday December 6,1975 at 3:35 p.m.in Johnstown Mercy Hospital. Mr.Bello,a former resident of Belle Vernon who went to Nanty Glo in 1937 to operate and manage the Capital Theater,was born in Belle Vernon on Feb.25,1986,son of the late Gasper and Mary Bello. He was retired manager of the Capital Theater,a life member of the Nanty Glo Volunteer Fire Co.,member of the Lions Club of Nanty Glo and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Belle Vernon. Mr.Bello was a member of the Black Lick Valley School Board and the Admiral Perry Voc Tech-High School in Ebensburg,Pa. He was preceded in death by a brother,Frank Bello. Survivors include his widow,Mary Costello Bello,two sons,Thomas Bello of East Aurora,N.Y.and John Bello of Wilmington,Del.,two daughters,Virginia Bello of Nanty Glo and Mrs.Katherine Lorenzi of Ligonier,eight grandchildren,and one sister,Mrs.Concetta Castonzo of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received in the Richard D.Ondriezek Funeral Home in Nanty Glo from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9:30 p.m.Monday,Dec.8,1975. A brief service will be held at 10 a.m.Tuesday,Dec.9,with the Rev.Richard D.Wright,pastor of the United Methodist Church,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society,Richard D.Ondriezek,funeral director in charge.
