Obituary

Theodore Zyglowicz, 79, of Monessen, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, in UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Kolaczyce, Poland, a son of the late Andrzej Zyglowicz and Katazyna Pacana Zyglowicz. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1949 and lived with his aunt and uncle, the late Paul and Anna Pacana of Monessen. Mr. Zyglowicz was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and the former St. Hyacinth R.C. Church and its Holy Name Society. He also was a member of St. Casimir the Great, Lodge 1146 of the Polish National Alliance in Monessen. Mr. Zyglowicz was retired from the Lee-Norse Division of the Ingersoll Rand Mining Company of Charleroi. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Michaels Zyglowicz, whom he married on Oct. 24, 1959, in St. Sebastian R.C. Church in Belle Vernon, one son, Daniel Zyglowicz of Monessen, one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Joseph Palli of Belle Vernon, two grandchildren, Sarah and Stephen Palli of Belle Vernon, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Josef and Jan Zyglowicz, and six sisters, Victoria Rak, Mary Zyglowicz. Helena Adamczyk, Jadwiga Pytel, Julka Zyglowicz and Zofia Ochalek. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 10, beginning with a 9 a.m. blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
