Obituary

Theodore Sapinsky,79,of Smithton R.D.1,(South Huntingdon Township),died Monday, Aug. 29,1994,in Frick Hospital and Community Health Center, Mount Pleasant. Born May 29,1915,in South Huntingdon Township,he was a son of the late Edward H. and Eva Cherhoniak Sapinsky.  Mr. Sapinsky was retired from Page Steel and Wire Company in Monessen and had also been employed by King's Office Supply in Mount Pleasant. He was a member of St. John the Divine Orthodox Church, Monessen. Survivors include his wife of 44 years,Mary C. Zerilla Sapinsky,whom he married May 24,1950;four sisters, Mrs. Steve (Mary) Yorkison of McKees Rocks,Jewell Hamilton and Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Yalch,both of Lighthouse Point. Fla. and Pearl DeMay of Ambridge and one brother, Max Sapinsky of Smithton.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Sapinsky and two sisters, Anna Hornyak and Rose Adzema. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home,105 Spring St.,Scottdale,where a Prayer service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m.,followed by a Funeral Service at 11:15 a.m. in St.John the Divine Orthodox Church,Monessen,with the Rev. John C. Horosky officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery in the Sapinsky family plot.  A Parastas service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.  The Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
