Theodore Mazur;72;of Parente Boulevard;Monessen;died Tuesday;May 28;1996;at 10:38 a.m.at his home. He waS born in Monessen;Sept.20;1923;a son of the late Victor and Katherine Mazur. Mr.Mazur was a member of First Christian Church of Belle Vernon. He was a former member of the VFW of Monessen. A lifelong resident of Monessen;he had been an appliance repairman for the former Check Furniture Store in Monessen;retiring in 1985. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S.Navy. Surviving are his wife;Lois Huscroft Mazur;three daughters;Mrs.Hugh (Sandra) Humbert of Livonia;Mich.;Mrs.Jack (Sharon) Nunns of Largo;Fla.and Joyce Tatsch of Monessen;a mother and father-in-law;Zelma and Joseph Kostelac of Belle Vernon;one brother;Andrew Mazur of Beallsville;N.J.;three sisters;Stella Fordanich of Southfield;Mich.;Sophie Plantis of West Bloomfield;Mich.and Stephanie of Garden City;Mich.;five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Donald A.Bowers of the First Christian Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
