Sylvester Smith,55,of 120 Oakwood Ave.,Aliquippa,died in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Oakland,Pittsburgh,Saturday, July 24,1965 at 1 p.m. after a brief illness. Born in Curryville, Ala.,June 26,1910,he had lived in Aliquippa the past 15 years. Surviving is a cousin,Mrs. Cleve (Ethel Mae) Johnson of Monessen. Friends will be received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen,after 7 p.m. July 26. Service in the funeral home chapel Wednesday,July 28,at 11 a.m. in charge of the Rev. Philip Green,pastor of the Macedonian Baptist Church in Connellsville. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
