Suzanna Buchton of Fairhope;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Jan.3;1988;at 4:30 p.m.at the home of her daughter after a lengthy illness. She was 93. Mrs.Buchton was born Dec.6;1894;in Czechoslovakia;a daughter of the late George and Anna Gargus Safar. She was a member of St.John Lutheran Church;Charleroi. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband;John Buchton Sr.;in 1975. Survivors include one son;John Buchton Jr.of Fairhope;two daughters;Mary Sholtis of Belle Vernon and Mrs.John (Susan) Strychalski of Fairhope;10 grandchildren;20 great-grandchildren;and one brother;George Safar of Czechoslovakia. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Homne;Fayette City;all day Tuesday and on Wednesday;Jan.6;until 10:30 a.m.;at which time services will be held with the Rev.Stephen Hurnyak;pastor of St.John Lutheran Church of Charleroi;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
