Obituary

Believed temporarily insane because of worry over a proposed trip to Florida,Susie Hajden,a maid in the home of Samuel Jones at Belle Vernon commited suicide by hanging some time on Thursday,October 12,1916.  She was found suspended by a clothes line to a gas pipe in the laundry of the Jones home at 8 o'clock upon the return of Mr.and Mrs. Jones from Pittsburgh.  She had been in their employ for about six or seven years,and for the last four years had accompied them on their trips to Florida. Every year the Jones family are accustomed to taking their maid with them. Miss Hajden has made the trip various times and this year was contemplating the journey, when it is said some one of her own family raised objections She was not well and the combined worries are supposed to have made her demented. She was a member of the Presbytrian Church. She was 27 years old.
