Susan P. (Stefanick) Stonfer of 175 State St.,Speers Hill, Charleroi,died suddenly on Thursday, Aug. 12,1982 at 8:30 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 73. Mrs. Stonfer was born March 17,1909,in Fayette City,a daughter of the late Michael and Susanna Svec Stefanick. She was Catholic by faith. Mrs. Stonfer was a member of the Mon Valley Senior Citizens and the Golden Age Clubs of Charleroi,Fayette City and Monessen. Survivors include her husband, Jack Stonfer; one sons,Jack R. Stonfer of Harrisburg; one daughter,Gwendolyn A. Yarcick of Belle Vernon;two grandsons,Eric and Adam Stonfer and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Nemish of Donora,Mrs. Sophia Murin of Monessen and Mrs. Margaret Macko of Fayette City. In addition to her parents,Mrs. Stonfer was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul,Andrew and Michael Stefanick;one sister, Mary Danko and a niece,Blanche Yetsconish. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and all day Sunday, where a Prayer service will be held on Monday,Aug. 16,at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
